Aquarius is a piece in 5 short movements that approach the theme, Aquarius, from different directions.
The lyrics of the first movements were written by an AI text generator when it was prompted to make a horoscope for aquarius. The second movement is an ode to the sports drink Aquarius. The third movement is a correction of the astrological errors in the popular song Aquarius from the musical Hair. The fourth movement is inspired by the many websites that sell stars. The fifth movement is a cold description of the galaxy NGC 7252, which is located in the astrological sign.
The piece was commissioned by Cauda Collective with support from Tónskáldasjóður RÚV og STEFs.
